
Bacon Avocado Smash Burgers
These bacon avocado smash burgers are juicy, crispy-edged, and loaded with flavor. The patties are seasoned and smashed thin in bacon grease, then stacked with melty cheese, jalapeño-onion sauté, avocado, and crispy bacon for the ultimate burger night.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef 80/20 recommended
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder with parsley
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 slices bacon
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 2 tbsp diced jalapeños
- 4 slices cheese American, cheddar, or preferred
- 1 avocado sliced
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce and tomato slices
- Optional: mayo ketchup, mustard, or preferred sauces
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Divide into 4 equal balls.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove and set aside. Reserve bacon grease.
- In the same pan, sauté diced onions and jalapeños in the bacon grease until softened. Set aside.
- Smash patties: Place each meatball between two pieces of parchment paper and press flat.
- Cook smashed patties in bacon grease over medium-high heat, 2–3 minutes per side, until crispy and cooked through. Add cheese on top and let melt.
- Toast buns if desired.
- Assemble burgers: Bottom bun → lettuce → tomato → smashed patty with cheese → sautéed jalapeño/onion mix → avocado slices → bacon → top bun.
- Serve hot with fries, chips, or pickles.

- For extra flavor, brush buns with melted butter and toast.
- Swap avocado with guacamole for a creamy twist.
- Make it spicy with pepper jack cheese or hot sauce.
